9 StudentsAre you interested in making Williams a more inclusive, sustainable, and equitable place for people of all identities and cultures for people of all identities and culture? Do you want to get to know a group of diverse students who feel passionately about issues that really matter? In this program, first years have the opportunity to learn leadership and community-building skills through concrete experiences on campus and in the surrounding area.

Root is an ephventures program developed in collaboration with The Zilkha Center for Environmental Initiatives. Root’s programming challenges students to use their lived experiences and push themselves to and through their comfort zones in order to develop life-long learning skills to participate in a global and sustainable community. Through field trips, team building activities, facilitation workshops, and active learning we will learn about the intersections of sustainability, identity, inclusion, and social justice.
